   Beware of all the low prices online for buying your next digital camera.    There is a real nasty group of people that 
are in this line of sales.  Most are in the NYC area, the worst offenders of all.

  You are happy that you are getting a great price, say $100 cheaper than at CIRCUIT CITY, BEST BUY, B+H CAMERA,
ADORAMA   Wholesale Photo, Bergen County Camera ( Links are Below)  Yet These are the only places you
should be getting them from.  Guess What?

There is  a reason the others are so  cheap. Read on.

 Here is a list of  things you need to know.

 1.  The  fully intend on taking  you for all your money.

 2.  If they do let you purchase it,  It's not the same parts you would get from a reputable store. 

        Examples: Not Made In USA...(grey market, without USA Warranty)   
   
                        1 Year warranty?  Yeah, but from them, not from manufacturer!

                         The Nikon Kit in Best Buy comes with a Nikon lens;   theirs comes with a different brand.

                         The 'Real Nikon KIT'  has Nikon Battery, Nikon Charger, Nikon Software, Theirs are aftermarket $15 batteries
                         that you can purchase on EBAY.  They Literally charge you $159 for this " High Capacity Battery "
           
                         They claim that the factory battery only lasts 30  minutes?   Lies, My Nikon D50 Shoots over 200 Pics / Battery

           You better have a diving suit on because the pressure will  KILL YOU!!.   You are told that you NEED these things.  Memory
            Cards that NEWEGG or STAPLES have for $59 cost $180.  They want you to get these ADD ONS.  

                          These " Needed  "  items will push you  WAY BEYOND THE price of a reputable dealer.

                           EXTENDED WARRANTY....   The will push a $399 5 year warranty on you.. if you refuse, it  will drop to $199.

                           Here's the best,  Shipping may be $29,  SOUNDS REASONABLE..   Let's say you were pressured to buy all this

                           because you don't know about their unethical practices.. your $1000 camera plus $29 shipping somehow costs

                           A WHOPPING $1149 .. Yeah..  When questioned how $1000 plus $29 comes out that  high???   Insurance....  
                           I'm not  sure what insurance costs over $100 .. UPS CHarges about  30 Cents per $100  .

These people are professional SCAM ARTISTS Trying  to get your CASH$$$

Stay away at all costs:

True stories to follow such as:   You don't agree  to buy extended warranty, your order is CANCELLED
Immediately and you are hung up on.  Yes HUNG UP ON.

This is absolutely the worst company I have ever tried to do business with. I actually made a mistake in ordering and called to have them cancel the order. The man on the phone told me they would charge me 20% of the entire order to cancel it. I asked him where that policy was on the website. I looked , but could not find it. He told me I was stupid. He said I needed a new computer since I could not see it. He was stating a false "policy" so I would order the camera. I told him to go ahead and send me the camera because I would not pay 20%. At which point he hung up on me. I checked the website and the order is cancelled. I just hope they don't try to charge me these fraudulent charges he was talking about.DO NOT EVEN TRY TO DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! I can't imagine why ByersEdge keeps them on their list!!!

Rip-off artists!!! I am writing a letter to the Better Business Bureau about them. I ordered a Canon Powershot S60. They said they had one in stock. The next day they called to sell me memory chips, and I explained that I only needed the camera, as I had had a similar one before. The salesman, James, at Ex. 201, then abruptly hung up. After waiting 11 days, I called to see why I had not yet received it. This time, Eric answered the Ex. 201. He told me the order was cancelled, and hung up. I called back to ask for an explanation. He again hung up on me. I am leaving for Bali in 1 week and had to have this camera. I am very angry with this company. They should be banned from doing business. They never let me know the order was cancelled, they were rude on the phone, I think they are trying to play some sort of "Bait & Switch" game. I would never do any business with these type of people again. L in Calif.

this was the worst experience I have ever had trying to purchase a product EVER!!!!! I called to confirm my internet order. Once they took my info, they tried pushing another battery for a Sony camcorder. He told me the factory battery lasted a half hour. I told him I was not interested, he then became rude and obnoxious and would not process the order. I asked him to put me on with a manager. He told me he was the manager and then hung up. I called back and got a different salesman this time. He was much more professional, although he was still trying to sell me another battery. Again he told me the battery that came with the camcorder only lasted a half hour. I told him i would get back to him about the battery and he said he would hold the order. I called Sony and was told the battery that came with the camcorder lasted for 2 hours. I called back, got another salesman. Oh my god!! Please don't order from there. All scams. I had to order and enter all my details. After 5 minutes they called and wanted me to order more accessories.. I guess for more money. I said I don't need it. Then they said it's cancelled. It's really scam. Mathew

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I did not see these reviews before I tried to make a purchase. Basically I called up ahead of ordering online and found out that everything was new and not refurbished and that there was a warranty on my digital camera I was interested in. So I go online later and place the order and got an e-mailed confirmation. I got a call trying to sell me an additional battery which they did not even have the correct info., a memory card and a warranty. I ssid I was sticking with the one year warranty and the person said there was no warranty on this camera. I told him I wanted to look into what the mfg. had to offer and I'd call him back. When I did he said they had to cancel my order because it was no longer in stock and it would be 6 weeks. This is only because I didn't want the extras. HUGE SCAM!!!!

This is a SCAM !! Here's the play. They advertise availability and the lowest price in a product. You go to their website and order - website is very nice - within 24 hours someone calls you and tells you that the product you are buying is great - in my case a digital camera, they guy said he used the same camera - they tell you that they are having someone look up to see if it's available. Here's the pitch. By the way..... you will need this extra battery or this extra memory..... The consequence. If you don't buy what they offer you, you don't get what you ordered. It's either not in stock or it will take a long time for you to get it. Really it's a scam, I argued with the guy and he literally told me to go to hell and what was I going to do about it, that the order was c-a-n-c-e-l-l-e-d ! and hung up. I called back and got someone else, he admitted the entire thing and laughed and hung up as well. It's a huge scam

Internet for this company showed the availability of Canon A95 camera. Submitted an order on the INternet. Received a confirmation over the E-mail system. Next day I get a call telling me the camera is in stock and what a great camera it was. She then asked what memory I wanted to buy along with the camera. I told her this purchase was for a daughter and I did not need any memory other then the one that came with the camera. Suddenly the camera was no longer available for "Weeks" I think I then canceled the order. I asked for confirmation over the internet but received none. Not very professional people.

These guys advertise the price of digital cameras WITHOUT THE BATTERY AND CHARGER, and then try to overcharge you for it, then negotiate down to retail.

I tried to buy an Olympus C765 - advertised price is $339. I assumed the camera came with everything in the box. The gimmick is that you have to call to confirm your order - then they put on the hard sell ! STAY AWAY!

Do yourself a favor, save the time and agony.  I wasted 1 to 2 hours per night shopping online for over 45 days trying to  get the best deal.  After getting  the  shaft so bad that I can no longer sit down,  I  went to BEST BUY ( who lost  the sale because they would not match  their  own sale on their  own website,   I drove out their parking lot 100 yards down highway to 6th ave electronics, who had a great sale, and gave a free camera bag, cleaning kit and tripod ( all cheap , but what the hell, it didn't cost me anything.   The case is actually nice if  you just  want to carry your camera an no spare lenses or flash.
